A bit of my comic collection in my studio…

A small portion of my wall in front of my drawing table. I love those oldies but goodies. I feel blessed to count the indefatigable John Rose (who draws Snuffy Smith today and was one of my comrades at Scripps Howard News Service when we were both editorial cartoonists many years ago) and the assiduous Eric Reaves (who draws Hi & Lois today and was one of my comrades for many years at Jim Davis’ Garfield studio at Paws, Inc.) among my friends, and blessed further still that I am one of the artists on Blondie, in addition to Intelligent Life.

Dickens, Doodles and Dreams

WARNING: VERBOSE NERD-OUT TIME FOR MY FELLOW BIBLIOPHILES AND COHORTS IN HISTORICAL INTEREST & LITERATURE):

Anyone who reads my little marginal posts about random interests and sketches of mine outside Intelligent Life, will know of my deep love for reading, particularly an unnatural and devoted love for classic literature, most namely the works of Charles Dickens (my author soulmate). I’m deeply inspired by Dickens’ work in all that I do, including, very much so, “Intelligent Life.”
